Village Green Pharmacy sits on Warwick Road, a short walk from The Acocks Green Medical Centre. If your GP has just sent a prescription electronically, we can usually have it ready shortly after.
You do not need to use the pharmacy attached to or nearest your surgery. Prescriptions travel electronically to whichever pharmacy you nominate.
We are open Monday to Saturday 9am–9pm and Sunday 10am–8pm. If your appointment runs late in the afternoon, or the surgery rings with a prescription at the end of the day, the pharmacy is still open for hours afterwards — and open on Sunday too.
Sore throat, earache in under-18s, sinusitis, urinary infection in women aged 16 to 64, shingles, impetigo and infected insect bites can all be assessed and treated here under Pharmacy First, free on the NHS and without an appointment.
We can also start or continue contraception, check blood pressure, review medicines after a hospital stay, and support you when you start a new long-term medicine.
If you would like prescriptions to come to us, use the nomination page on our website. It takes a couple of minutes and we deal with the rest.
